OPEN was awarded the First Prize for the "Shanghai Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Excellence

On December 17th, the 2020 "Shanghai Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Excellence Project Award" commendation ceremony was grandly held at the Shanghai CPPCC Auditorium.

In this selection, the Corrugated Steel Plate Composite Frame System (also known as the "JieYue" system) independently developed by OPEN won the first prize. The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Jiangnan University, which collaborated with OPEN, was also honored with the award.

The award-winning Corrugated Steel Plate Composite Frame System (also known as the "JieYue" system) is a new construction model for multi-story frame buildings developed by OPEN. It features factory-prefabricated steel structures and on-site cast concrete, with innovative component forms and convenient node installation. The construction process requires no formwork or scaffolding, making it a novel type of prefabricated frame structure. Through practical application in demonstration projects, it has demonstrated excellent safety, applicability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of construction. This system can be widely used in industrial and civil buildings, especially suitable for large-span, heavy-load storage buildings.
