OPEN Project Adopts "Carrier Pile" Technology Approved by Review
2025-02-05 10:53On the afternoon of November 3, 2024, the expert review meeting for the pile foundation plan of the "New Factory and Supporting Warehouse Project for the Annual Production of 170,000 Sets of High-Precision Machinery Equipment" in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, was held via video conference. The total site area of the project is 72,000 square meters, with a designed total area of 170,000 square meters and a plot ratio of 3.94. The project primarily involves the construction of two four-story factory buildings and warehouses, as well as a 12-story comprehensive building, with building heights of 48 meters and 45.6 meters, respectively. The project utilizes the innovative "CS-FRAME Structure System" developed by the OPEN Construction Group, combined with a concrete frame structure.
The review meeting invited several top experts in the construction field to evaluate the engineering plan. Representatives from surveying, design, construction, general contracting, and pile foundation construction units attended the meeting.
The meeting began with an opening speech by OPEN Chairman Chen Ming. He expressed his gratitude to the experts for taking time out of their busy schedules to attend the review meeting and looked forward to their valuable suggestions to advance the implementation of this technology. Chairman Chen Ming introduced the application of the CS-FRAME technology, which has been used in projects covering over 3.5 million square meters since its launch in April 2019. It has shown significant advantages, particularly in the construction of large-span, heavy-load multi-story logistics warehouses.
The
foundation soil of the project mainly consists of cohesive soil, silt,
and sand deposited by river flooding and bay sedimentation. The original
plan proposed the use of 30-meter-long special-shaped square piles. The
Geotechnical and Foundation Technology Center of the State Key
Laboratory, considering the geological conditions and the upper load
requirements, fully took into account the stress characteristics of
carrier piles and proposed the use of prefabricated internal rammed
carrier piles.
The
plan selected shallow sand-silt soil at a depth of 10 meters as the
reinforced layer. The carrier under the cap forms a rigid slab, making
full use of the good diffusion properties of the sand layer to reduce
the additional stress on the lower soil layer. This design approach
ensures the integrity of the foundation and addresses differential
settlement. The project has been validated through test piles,
confirming the construction process, quality control standards, and
bearing capacity.
OPEN has always adhered to a development philosophy guided by engineering needs and supported by innovative technologies and solutions. The company hopes to better integrate the CS-FRAME Structure System with carrier pile technology in future projects, playing a greater role in engineering projects and creating value for customers.
